Traditional Crealock two stateroom raised pilothouse design. Fully functional lower helm with double side entry doors in the pilothouse for port and starboard deck access. DESIGN OVERVIEW AND ACCOMODATIONS



The Offshore 48 is a William Crealock raised pilothouse design utilizing form and function. If her traditional lines don't get you, her functional layout and fit and finish will. Let's start from the outside and work our way inward. If safety at sea is important, the generous and well protected walk around decks should appeal to you. The cockpit is roomy, well layed out, and features a double wide transom door and a custom extended swim step that lowers down into the water for diving and water access. The flybridge is accessible internally from inside the pilothouse or externally from the cockpit ladder. On the foredeck there is seating for sightseeing and an uncluttered anchor station and bow pulpit.

Inwardly the Offshore 48 is just as functional and sensible. The raised pilothouse offers the helmsman excellent visibility at night or in inclimate weather. Side wheelhouse doors port and starboard allow access to the side decks. You won't be roughing it seated in custom imported leather helm seats, and utilizing state of the art Furuno Nav Net electronics, Raymarine Autopilot, and electronic climate control. If you change your mind and would rather steer from the flybridge you can access the bridge within a few steps of the lower helm without ever having to go outside the boat.

A few steps down and aft of the pilothouse is the salon and galley. The salon area can also be accessed from the cockpit via a sliding door. Central in the salon to port is a large U shaped dinette with leather cushions and a hi-lo teak table. With a drop in cushion the dinette will sleep 2 adults. Opposite the dinette is a settee and an entertainment center complete with a 20" flat screen TV, DVD and Stereo. The galley is just forward of the salon so you are never far from the action if you are the one cooking or cleaning up. The galley is fully equipped with a 4 burner stove, double stainless steel sink, U-line Fridge and Freezer, Microwave, and plenty of cabinet space and storage.

The entire salon is surrounded by sliding opening windows for outstanding visibility and ventilation. Salon windows are equipped with adjustable blinds. Mechanical heating and cooling is provided by one of four marine AC units, separate control heads are located in the pilothouse and the salon. In addition to the natural light, there is also flush mounted overhead lights, direct, indirect, and courtesy lighting. The interior is trimmed in finished teak, leather soft goods, Corian counter tops, and traditional teak and holly floors. Storage is ample via teak storage cabinets and drawers in every area of the vessel.

There are two private staterooms each with a private head and shower. Both staterooms are accessed via a stairway leading down from the pilothouse. The master stateroom is amidships with a private door and features a walk around double berth with custom bedding and head board. Ventilation is provided by side opening ports and temperature is controlled by an individual AC heating and cooling control head. Personal items and clothing can be stored in a large cedar lined hanging locker and his and hers storage drawers. A private flat screen TV is mounted in the aft starboard corner. A private master head compartment is to starboard in the master stateroom and features an electric toliet, a separate shower compartment with a molded in shower tub with a seat, opening ports, Corian counter tops, a molded in sink with hot and cold pressure water, mirrors, and teak storage drawers. The guest stateroom is forward with a private door and private access to the forward head compartment. The guest stateroom features a centerline double walk around berth surrounded by teak trim, teak storage cabinets, and a cedar lined hanging locker. Ventilation is provided via an overhead opening hatch with a screen and side opening ports. The guest stateroom has a AC control head for heating and cooling. The forward head is trimmed in teak and Corian counter tops. In the forward head is an electric toliet and a separate stall shower. There is an opening port for fresh air.

DECK



One of the best features of this cruising design is the practical deck layout. All outside decks are designed with an attractive diamond pattern non-skid surface. The cockpit is generous with a large storage lazerette below decks for boat gear and access to below deck equipment. You will find above deck cockpit storage in the cockpit cabinet outside of the salon as well as a sink with pressure hot and cold water. The double transom doors provide great access to the extended swim step that actually lowers hydraulicly into the water for scuba diving or loading of kayacks, or small watercraft. Walk forward safely in most any sea condition with wide protected walk around side decks with raised bulwarks, stainless steel hand rails, and overhead protection via flybridge overhangs. Access the flybridge from outside the boat via the ladder in the cockpit or from the inside via the pilothouse. The flybridge is equipped with an upper helm with 2 custom helm seats, an L shaped sette, and a large storage locker and sink. The aft deck of the flybridge can be used for sunbathing or storing extra gear or a tender. The fordeck is useable uncluttered space with a stainless steel bow rail, molded in protective seating, and a bow pulpit with an anchor windlass.
