The hull design produces a brisk yet comfortable ride with its long water line and scoop transom. Built to the standards you have come to expect from a Passport, the Passport 470AC is an able and secure ocean voyaging yacht that is equally at home coastal cruising or weekending.

As with all of the Passport designs, the distinguishing characteristics of these yachts are their ease of handling and quality of construction. The Passport 470AC strikes a perfect balance between performance and comfort. Her hull shape insures a soft motion offshore and the moderate displacement offers a smooth ride without compromising on performance. The Passport 470AC is an aft cockpit design with the cutter sail configuration for added sail area. The 470AC utilizes every inch of space giving her owner ample storage capacity both on deck and below. A large on-deck compartment aft of the cockpit in the transom has room for everything from dingy to generator.

The excellent deck detailing and gear situated for ready access with minimal effort adds to her safety at sea. The aft cockpit design has a large, practical cockpit, a spacious galley and two private staterooms with accompanying head and shower facilities.

But perhaps what a Passport is primarily recognized for is their finely appointed interiors, elegant lines and above all lasting value. The Passport 470AC is no exception. The spacious interiors are of hand made cabinetry, carefully constructed and custom fit within each yacht. The extended, traditional counter transom featured on this model offsets the long cabin trunk that offers such a voluminous interior. Only the best materials in modern hull construction are used. The result is a yacht of uncompromising elegance and enduring value.

Starting forward is the master stateroom with ensuite shower stall and head. The stateroom contains a large v-berth with Custom Pillow Top mattress with custom sheets and coverlet and well thought out, ample storage in hanging lockers, lockers outboard of the berth and drawers. Access to a large chain locker is via double louvered doors at the foot of the berth. The ensuite head has a separate shower stall with full standing head room, a Tecma electric head, vanity sink with cabinet above as well as additional storage under the sink and in a locker and drawers.

Aft of the master stateroom is the main saloon. To port is an 'L' shaped settee and a coffee table. The large dining table folds down from the bulkhead and utilizes the coffee table as a base. Behind the dining table is a bookcase and under is a locker. To starboard in the main saloon is a straight settee which is also an excellent sea berth. There are louvered lockers and bookshelves outboard of both settees.

Aft of the saloon to port is 'U' shaped galley, perfect for use at sea. It is well appointed, with double stainless steel sinks, Broadwater Marine Stove (Schooner) Large 4 burner and infra-red grill, refrigerator, freezer, microwave, numerous drawers and lockers and more than ample work surface.
Starboard aft of the main saloon is the guest cabin again with an ensuite head that also doubles as the day head. The cabin contains a large double quarterberth, book shelf, lockers and a hanging locker as well as a vanity sink. The ensuite head contains a Tecma electric head, shower, locker and wet locker
Located at the base of the companionway steps to port, aft of the galley is a large Custom Aft facing navigation station with bench seat 7 storage seat. All instrumentation for controlling and monitoring all communications, navigation, and ships systems have been well thought out by an experienced cruising owner.

Solid fiberglass hull, hand laminated, using Knytex knitted and stitched biaxial fiberglass fabrics in conjunction with mat and woven roving. Kevlar reinforcement in hull lay up. Vinylester and Isopthalic resins. Isopthalic gelcoat on all exterior fiberglass surfaces.

A matrix of longitudinal and transverse foam cored stringers in the lower hull and hull sides provide maximum hull stiffness.

Internal lead ballast glassed into a modified fin keel. Skeg mounted rudder, with internal stainless steel rudderpost and integral stainless steel reinforcement.

The deck structure is a composite construction using closed cell foam coring. All deck hardware areas are reinforced using high density foam core. All deck hardware is through bolted using stainless steel backing plates.
